Marxism-Leninism Today is an electronic journal containing articles and commentaries on the theory and practice of Marxism-Leninism  contemporary dialectical and historical materialism. Its goal is to be a resource where Marxist-Leninists can discuss and apply their science to all fields of study. It will contain articles that are of particular interest to Marxist scholars, both Communist and non-Communist. “Communist Forum,” will present programmatic materials from or about Communist political organizations from different countries. New material will be added devoted to individual topics such as philosophy, religion, African American history, labor history, trade union strategy, Marxist historiography, and so forth. Book reviews will be regular features.

Marxism-Leninism Todaywill translate and publish articles drawn from the international Communist movement, on politics, on international affairs, on ideological questions, on political economy, on contemporary social conditions and struggles, on social and political theory; history, labor, ethnic and women’s studies; aesthetics, literature and the arts. The website will provide a serious analysis of the contemporary human condition, as well as contributing to the ongoing development of the Marxist-Leninist tradition.

In this endeavor, are guided by one simple editorial policy: promoting the growth, development and influence of the Marxist-Leninist thought and movement. While we recognize that Marxism-Leninism must be refreshed and reinvigorated, we are dubious of the academically fashionable trend to “rethink”, “reinvent”, or cosmetically “legitimize” Marxism. Most of these revisions are transparent efforts to create a respectable Marxism, a Marxism without revolutionary vigor.

We welcome, on the other hand, contributions that demonstrate a creative, innovative application of Marxist-Leninism to today’s world. We seek clear and popular expositions of theory and partisan, but rigorous, defenses of Marxist-Leninist foundations.
