Dear KKE Comrades,
Best wishes for the success of the upcoming 22nd Congress of the KKE.
A strong KKE is essential not only for the defense of workers’ rights in Greece. KKE plays a unique ideological and organizational role in the international Communist movement through its work in maintaining the International Meeting of Communist and Workers Parties. KKE makes immense contributions to such organizations as the World Federation of Trade Unions and the World Peace Council.
KKE has a glorious history. You have fought on every political terrain: under illegal conditions, exile, armed struggle against Nazi occupation and later against US-UK imperialist attack, and military dictatorship. While other Communist parties wavered or dissolved in 1989-91, KKE remained steadfast in its Marxist-Leninist outlook.
We have studied the Theses prepared for this Congress. You remain a class-struggle- hardened organization, and an implacable foe of opportunism.
It has been heartening to see the growth of KKE influence in the Greek trade union movement. The militant actions of PAME against the US-IsraeIi genocide in Gaza, against the imperialist war in Ukraine, and in recent days, the swiftly organized protests in Greece against the outrageous attack on Venezuela by US imperialism, are exemplary.
May a stronger KKE emerge from this Congress.
